Alchemie Technology Partners With Cambridge Film Festival

Alchemie Technology supported the Environmental Strand of the Festival, for the second year running, to raise awareness in the local community of both the company and the issue of water pollution.

CFF 2024 Environment Strand

Last week, we had the honour of hosting our gala screening event ahead of the UK premiere of “The Cigarette Surfboard”, directed by Ben Judkins, at the 43rd Cambridge Film Festival (CFF).

Held at The Arts Picturehouse, our partners, local Cambridge environment organisations, and film enthusiasts joined us to share our collective passion for sustainability. We celebrated thought-provoking films that raised awareness about the environment, showcased on-the-ground efforts being made, and emphasised how cinema can inspire positive, meaningful change.

We were thrilled to bring our commitment of clean water and environmental stewardship to the heart of the Cambridge Film Festival, as we presented the premiere of “The Cigarette Surfboard”. This powerful film dived into the impact of pollution on our beaches and in our oceans, aligning with Alchemie’s mission to drive sustainable innovation in the textile industry.

As one of the largest contributors to industrial wastewater, the textile sector needs solutions that protect and preserve our precious water resources. At Alchemie we’ve developed low-carbon, digital textile dyeing technologies that reduce wastewater by up to 95% - an essential step towards a more sustainable future.

Together with CFF, we are excited to foster conversations and inspire action on environmental challenges through the transformative power of cinema.

A special thank you to the event organisers and staff at the Cambridge Film Festival for their invaluable support in making this happen and congratulations on another successful festival.
